We begin our journey into the Sumatran wrapper. To usher in this portion of the Odyssey, Robby and Randy are joined by none other than Tatuaje’s Pete Johnson. Pete has done some amazing things with Sumatran wrapper, so he will be the perfect guest to kick things off. This week, we are pairing the Tatuaje TAA 2020 with a Zinfandel wine, so grab a bottle and join the fun.

It’s a WILDCARD edition of Flavor Odyssey, and this week, beer expert Randy Griggs and Jordan "the wiz-kid producer" try to convince Master Sensei that sour beers don’t suck AND they can even pair well with cigars. Will they change Sensei’s mind?

Not many folks know how to blend a Corojo-wrapped cigar better than Dion, so we will get his thoughts on pairing the highly-rated Haut 10 with root beer, as well as what we might expect as we explore this delicious tobacco variety.

It's our first WILDCARD episode of the season, and it wont get any more wild than this! Robby and Randy welcome in Fred Rewey, former owner of Nomad Cigars. Fred is known around the world for his obsession with bacon. Therefore, on this episode, we will explore pairing cigars with bacon! Is it a match made in heaven... or one that should be left in the pigpen?

Robby and Randy wrap up (no pun intended) exploring Connecticut Shade cigars as they pair the Desert Rose from Southern Draw Cigars with a bee—in this case, a Pilsner-style ale, to be more specific. The Rose of Sharon Desert Rose was the Dojo’s number 2 Cigar of the Year in 2019, so the pressure is high to find a great pairing. Robby and Randy will also review the previous Connecticut Shade pairings and discuss what they have learned.

On this episode, your hosts pair the Sobremesa Brûlée from Steve Saka and Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust with coffee and cream. It’s the final episode of season one and Robby and Randy will be recapping what they learned from the pairings in the first season of Flavor Odyssey.
